Botanic Horticulture’s maintenance approach responds to the garden seasonally, balancing presentation with the long-term health and development of the planting. The perennial beds surrounding the pool and lawn require considered care throughout the year, while the Silver Birches, Olive Trees and Buxus spheres, are shaped and maintained to preserve the structure that defines the landscape.

The ornamental grasses are a particularly important part of the garden’s seasonal rhythm. Cutting them back at the appropriate time removes prolific growth and encourages fresh foliage to emerge, while maintaining the form and movement originally intended.

With large areas of the landscape exposed to full sun, irrigation is also closely monitored by our horticulturists. Adjusting watering to seasonal conditions and paying particular attention to consistent soil moisture supports plant health and ensures the garden performs through warmer and drier periods.
